Bashir's father was an educated person and by Profession he was a civil contractor and he  was  upbringing  his family  in  a satisfactory  style Bashir had two more sisters and four brothers.
His brother Abdul Rashid died in an accident when due to the negligence of one person, who was Pruning trees, a fallen branch struck him and he died on the spot, He was the second child of his parents. In 1973, Besides Bashir his other Brother and sisters were studying and among them Bashir was a naughty boy. During school days Bashir used to take part in various school activities and in cricket he was considered a good Cricketer. Bashir was good in studies and teacher would love him too and he was made the Secretary of school Boys Association from 6th to 10th standard. Since Bashir's father was a actively associated with Kashmir Politics National Conference and thus Bashir got a good chance to go ahead. After passing his eleventh class exams. Bashir gave up his studies and started driving his commercial vehicle. Since Bashir by childhood was a self –confident person and his passion was to Work on his own instead of going for government job. In order to full fill his dreams his father gave him a truck and then from 1982 to1993 he handled  his vehicle and helped his family. Bashir married twice. The first marriage was in 1982.After the birth of one daughter Bashir divorced his wife and on the 18th of August, 1988 Bashir married again. He had two sons and one daughter by his next wife.
In the year 1989, when militancy started in Jammu and Kashmir, it affected every sphere of life but it had a great impact on the politics and economy of the state. The militancy had a tremendous effect on the life and household of Bashir and as his father was an active political worker and was the Block Secretary of All Jammu & Kashmir National Conference Block Wagoora Baramulla. on the 28th of September 1993, unidentified gunmen of Hizbul Mujahidin outfit attacked the house of Bashir and killed his father. From that   day Bashir's bad patch of   life started. the first  impact  was being,  the  eldest son of  the FAMILY, the responsibility  of  taking  care  of  the  family fell  straight  on  his  shoulders. His business was in shambles. And furthermore he  had a threat  from the  unidentified  gunmen, so he could  not  move  out  easily.
One  of  Bashir's younger  brother,  who  was  studying  in B.Sc. ll. year. When his father was killed he was taken over  by strong feelings of revenge and  he left  the  college  and choose the  path  wherefrom   no  one has returned  till date,  with  a  fire  of   taking   revenge  in  his  Heart. On the  8th of May,1994 he fell in to the  clutches  of  unidentified  gunmen and  as his presence  had  been  pinching them  they  killed  him.  When Bashir heard this bad news he rushed to his native village to attend the funeral of his brother .Abruptly,  in the evening  of the  same  day, Bashir's house was attacked  once again .  People had thronged in the house of Bashir to condole the death of his brother.  All of sudden the gunman entered and  opened indiscriminate fire on the persons present and killed Basher’s Maternal Uncle. They tried shoot at point blank range, but Bashir escaped badly injured. Bashir was admitted in the Sheri Kashmir medical institute Srinagar Kashmir (SKIMS). During his treatment in SKIMS Bashir had nothing to fall back upon, except his self- reliant attitude. His vehicle and his house and other property could not help him. Bashir noticed that his beloved younger sister, barefoot, was begging inside the Hospital Premises. People helped her and she collected RS 265/ only as help from various people. Though Bashir would never even have dreamed   of such a condition but this was the fact that hit him hard in the face. These Rs 265 were to save his life. After seeing this dilapidated condition of his family Bashir decided that he would commit suicide rather than giving up his honor.
In the course of events to follow in the Hospital a miracle took place. Bashir noticed a patient who was lying on the bed next to his and both his legs had been amputated. Bashir talked to him and came to know that the man’s house had been attacked by unidentified gunman and all five members of his family had been killed. he was the only survivor, handicapped though Bashir asked him as to why he continued to live on and to this thee man replied that he believed in the justice of the Almighty and hoped that one day would come when he would see the people who had killed his family on their knees.
only then Bashir decided that he would live and he would clear the debit of Rupees 265/ that rested on his head and lead his family to be a better future and wait for the doom of the people who had attacked his house, twice. From there he was shifted to All India institute of Medical Sciences New Delhi India for further treatment. After one and a half –year under treatment Bashir had passed through nine major surgeries but he lost the vision of his left eye and some power of his right hand.
In 1996 Bashir got some money from his friends and relatives as loan and he got an Auto-Rickshaw. Bashir worked very hard even though he was not keeping good health. As such, in 1998 purchased a Heavy passenger vehicle for four and a half lakhs (450000). He kept a driver for the vehicle as he himself was not fit for driving a heavy motor vehicle. He accumulated some income on the basis of this.
As Bashir was earning handsome money, he was also realizing that there might be several others who might be going through the problems that he had faced. His children had suffered during the bad phase of his life. Bashir formed a non-discriminatory organization on pure humanitarian grounds, with a Beautiful name (Human Aid Society ) in order to share pain of the suffering people. He gathered his relatives, friends, and associates and raised funds to help the orphans and destitute. He donated 10880 Sq feet of land worth cost of Rs.50 lac from his ancestral property to established a full fledged skill development instate so that youth of the area may be made self-reliant.
The period from 1993 to 1996 disasters struck Bashir’s Life and the disasters were such that Basher had not been able to forget them. Bashir was engaged in good work but the anger and angst against the people who had killed his father/ brother and uncle was still inside his heart. But maybe Almighty did not favor the vengeance that corrupted his heart. In the year 2001,in the month of June Almighty sent a person who became inspiration for Bashir's life and gave it a new and prosperous vent. It was Mr. Brain Cox, from the International center of Religion And Diplomacy Washington D C who was organizing a work shop on faith based reconciliation at Gulmarg Kashmir. Bashir was one of the participants and through the interaction with Mr. Brain Cox Bashir came to understand that he had also gone through tremendous pain and suffering. On finding out that the man works in every nook and corner of the world for reconciling conflicting factions, and building broken bridges and heeling relationships. Though the workshop was success but especially for Bashir the workshop was a major turn over which changed his life and his priorities. He forgives his enemies. The spirit of forgiveness seeped so deep in to his soul that Bashir got children of some of the people who had devastated his life and family who had died and offered them help in possible ways .He inducted them in to the organization and sponsored free education to them. Bashir loves those kids like his own. Bashir felt that it was destiny once again. He gave up all sorts of animosity and sprinkled love and compassion over every one he met.  It was proved that Love of course begets love
Bashir initiated a great task but it was a great responsibility. He had to nurture avenues for helping the people. He was engaged in good work and he needed sport in every way. He had a dream of fulfilling the dream of seeing every orphan and destitute happy, and he must make the dream come true. This is a great challenge at the hands of Basher. Having given up feelings of revenge and hatred Bashir is overwhelmed by compassion and love for every sufferer. Thus the life journey of the man named Bashir Ahmad Mir was redirected from hatred and anger to love and compassion. Which lead to the magnanimous journey of HUMAN AID SOCIETY  a non political and non Government organization born to work for the development and prosperity of poverty ridden people, victims of violence and the downtrodden irrespective of caste, creed , color or religion .

The pioneer member of this organization started the marathon of helping people with a meagre amount of Rs. 10000.( ten thousand) however his sincere efforts  proved to be very efficient and soon a number of likeminded sincere people from different walks of life clustered around him and consequently the organization called Human Aid Society started its formal journey with sincerity, fervor dedication and confidence in its members.
The organization without the financial assistance of any state or central government agency is on the track with a resolve to involve more and more local residents and convince them to carry on this noble mission. It is quite encouraging that Human Aid Society has received recognition of people and is working hard to achieve  its goal of constructing an exemplary society.

No doubt forgiveness is an ideology interpreted by the religious and social leaders but the lurking problem lying in it is that people usually underestimate the person displaying forgiveness   personally when subjected to some obstacle or even if somebody hurts or tries to hurt do not retaliate as he can be projected as a preacher of forgiveness in such a state. People treat him a person without a will or determination to fight back or retaliate  hence he suffers from a dilemma whether to proceed with his agenda or rebel ling  to prove his worth but ultimately he adhered to peaceful approach of forgiveness and belief in the mercy of Almighty who is the only force to guide the souls on right track ,the second option why He doesn’t  retaliate is that he had to opt for the most volatile and uncomfortable  miserable type of life  which neither allows to live nor to let live others. By retaliation means to lose the tamper, nurture the hatred diversion from right track and ultimately to behave in the capacity of a beast which is all against the laws of nature and humanity. So, he decided to let people analyze him as per their grading but he became adamant to pursue the cause of forgiveness so as to full fill the dreams that he felt, he can change the face of society & provide ample of tranquility to those who suffer in one way or the other.
