Human Aid Society is a non-profit organization established in November-1999 and got registered on 3rd June 2004 as a society under the J&K Societies Registrar Act, with the objective of providing a helping hand to people affected by the violence in the strife-torn valley. The focus has been on providing education, mental health counselling to women and children, who have been the worst victims of turmoil, relief and rehabilitation to various sections of the society who are severely challenged by physical disability and/or economic deprivation. With a team of dedicated trustees, volunteers and staff, the Human Aid Society has extended its activities  in various Districts of J&K but its main activities are seen in  North Kashmir.

For Human Aid Society, protection and participation are the two key principles with respect to widows and orphans. It includes immediate protection from danger, abuse, and exploitation, but also covers more long-term, proactive approaches designed to promote development of children’s skills and knowledge, build support structures for children, and lessen their vulnerability. 

Skill development, Road safety, Natural Calamities, Medical Aid, supports activities, Drug abuse, Environment protection Legal Awareness etc. is included in its work. 

Human Aid Society aims at developing a society where each individual possessing a human heart will always ensure his possible help for the betterment of a society where violence has taken its toll. The peace with dignity and honor will definitely help in maintaining the sanctity of humanity and Human Aid Society (NGO) will work in its full capacity to ensure this type of peace. Broken bridges need to be rebuilt, wounds need to be healed, annoyed need to be convinced, deaths once need to be bereaved and hearts need to be win is soul criteria of Human Aid Society (NGO) which will definitely make this paradise worth looking.
